Another cardio machine that bears the Nordictrack name and upholds its reputation is the NordicTrack FreeStride Trainer FS7i Elliptical.

It’s an extremely low impact machine that combines the benefits of an elliptical, treadmill, and stepper into one machine.  You get up to 38-inch strides, short up and down steps, and the floating movements of an elliptical and you can easily change the workouts by simply changing your stride.

Features:

  • Center Drive: Having the motor in the center greatly reduces the size of the elliptical and makes the unit very stable.
  • Unique Suspension System: Whether you’re taking long strides, short up and down steps, or using it as an elliptical, you’ll feel like you’re floating on air.
  • iFit Ready: Use the elliptical with iFit, an interactive training program that gives you a “virtual” workout with Google Maps™ street views.
  • 0 to 10% Incline/Decline: The FS7i provides a 0 to 10 degree incline that can be easily adjusted at the touch of button.
  • Handle Controls: Integrated handle controls makes it easy to adjust the resistance and the incline level through a simple touch of the button.
  • Multiple Functions: You get the benefit of a treadmill, elliptical, and stepper all in one compact machine.
  • Adjustable Stride: You can easily change your workout between a treadmill, a stepper, and an elliptical by simply changing your stride.
  • Console: The console comes equipped with a 7″ web-enabled touchscreen. Surf the web, check your emails, or just catch up on the news while you’re working out.
  • Weight Capacity: 375 lbs.
  • Resistance: A 20 lb. flywheel provides a smooth performance and a range of resistance to challenge even the most experienced users.
  • Oversized Cushion Pedals: Extra long and extra wide pedals provide the comfort and control you need during your workouts.
  • Wireless Chest Strap: Monitor your heart rate more accurately with a wireless chest strap that comes included.
  • Warranty: You get a lifetime warranty with a 5 year parts warranty and a 2 year labor warranty.

Verdict:

Although, the FS7i is bit pricey, the 3 in 1 combination along with all of the additional features make it worth it.  You don’t have get stuck with one movement and you get all the entertainment you need from the web-enabled touchscreen display.

With the lifetime warranty and a 5 year warranty on parts, this is one purchase that definitely comes recommended.
